Now you can speed the procedure of signing in to multiple applications using Single Sign-On. This notable feature is now available for Intelligent Series and Amtelco Secure Messages users and agents.
What is Single Sign-On?
Single Sign-On (SSO) is an authentication process that makes it possible for users to log in to numerous applications with a single set of credentials. By eliminating the need to sign in to each application one by one, SSO helps increase productivity for your staff and reduces password fatigue. Pairing SSO with two-factor authentication (2FA), which requires users to verify their identity in two unique ways, further enhances safety.
Because your team members have fewer passwords to memorize, SSO can help improve security and help ensure your staff is HIPAA compliant by requiring longer, more robust passwords. Fewer passwords can also reduce the need for password support assistance by the IT staff.
Single Sign-On for Intelligent Series (IS)
For IS users, SSO validation is accessible with SAML (Security Assertion Markup Language) or ADFS (Active Directory Federation Services). The IS log-ins can be configured for either IS or SSO authentication modes. Selecting IS authentication uses the IS database to keep track of passwords and perform authentication. The SSO authentication option requires a third-party Single Sign-On Identity Provider to keep track of passwords and perform authentication.
Single Sign-On for Amtelco Secure Messages
Authentication for on-site Amtelco Secure Messages customers is available for both Agents and Groups with an SSO Identity Provider that keeps track of passwords and performs authentication. If desired, the app’s server can keep track of passcodes and provide authentication.
